There is an important lesson here, boys and girls, and, it`s if you want to get something done, you have to be able to turn down the volume and be willing to work with others.
Terrible Tom, of course, won`t be happy with whatever they come up with cause he doesn`t want to lose the issue as a fund raiser. He isn`t interested in a solution as he needs the issue.

Fence or no fence. Observe that Mexico is no swammed by USA citizens illegally immigrating to Mexico.

Why?

Well, does Mexico offer free, instant citizenship to preggie Moms who can waddle across the border and poop out a baby in a Mexican hospital, paid by Mexican taxpayers?

Does Mexico offer financial freebies to illegals like the USA does?

Does Mexico never seriously enforce it's own immigration laws ala USA?

Does Mexico have "sanctuary cities" for illegals like the USA does?

Basically folks, if you put out fresh meat, flies will be attracted.

A fence beats nothing or worse yet, amnesties, but it's eliminating the other freebies that has to be done to solve the problem.

That and maybe deport all caught to the tip of South America instead of just back across the border (preg women & children excepted...just send them home).

Realistically though, we are just flapping our gums here. Neither major political party wants to offend the Mexican and illegal voting populations.
