Tehran, Dec 9 - Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami on Friday accused the United States of committing a "crime" by refusing to sell modern airplanes and parts to Iran, following a deadly plane crash that killed 108 people.
"To deprive Iran of the most modern and secure (flight) apparatus is a crime against people that a power like the United States does not have the right to commit," he said.
"Unfortunately, after some delay, they (the French) annulled the contract because of the US's refusal... it is a crime against humanity," Khatami said.
"Political conflicts, sanctions and wars between countries exist, but according to international conventions they should not bring harm to individuals," Khatami added.
hahahahahhahahaaa!!
Sure they can, if you want a toater that blows up your house when the bread pops up.
He knows the French and Russian airplanes suck.
Since neither the prophet nor his companions were either having or using airplanes, it necessarily follows that possession and use of aircraft is an impious innovation. Thus they would be better off without them. There must be a fatwa somewhere to that effect.
"US is criminal - Khatami"
Go catch a bullet, camel humper.
We demand that you disband your nuclear program before we supply you with anything more dangerous than string. See how that works?
Ha ha. Sounds like you are a master of Islamic "science & engineering" :)
This guy is a friggin riot! We have a comedy club in Raleigh called Charlie Goodnights - they ought to book this guy for a week or two - I wonder if he does any impressions?
Hilarious!
Their bread is flat crap fried on a hot rock.

I remember when the sanctions were first announced. Some talking head was talking to an Iranian official. The Iranian was boasting of the modern AF that they had. The one we had sold to the Shah. The newsie asked him how Iran was going to get parts for their planes and other mlitary hardware. The Iranian replied,(perhaps not an exact quote, but close enough) "That is not a problem. After all, we're talking about American companies."
Had to check and see if this was Scrappleface.
I knew this was coming - it's all Bush's fault! Reminds me of the Taliban complaining they could not hit US aircraft because the pilots (unfairly) flew at too high an altitude.
When and if islam ever accepts it's own shortcomings, there'll be peace, not a moment before. The victimhood stance is what keeps islam in the stone age.
No one minds the idea of a Persian democracy utilizing nuclear power for the generation of electricity, but the idea of barbarians wielding nuclear bombs instead of the clubs they are evolved to use is terrifying.
the Mullahs are freakin idiots
