How did it go?
bttt
Fred Phelps maybe right that acceptance of homosexuality among many other decadant behaviors is bringing America down and removing his hand of protection from us.
But protesting soldiers funerals that probably don't agree with homosexuality either is hurting the cause they want to promote.
Bless the Harper Family and I hope they had a good day!
The Westboro Baptist Church is a bona-fide hate group. These people and the Taliban were made for each other.
The good news is that I've seen no follow-up in the Post-Dispatch and/or on the TV news, so perhaps Phelps-and-friends either weren't there or were countered by locals who knew time and place.
May Staff Sgt. Harper rest in peace, and may the Lord grant peace and loving memories to his family.
Geesh...the family doesn't want a bunch of strangers at their funeral - whether you are there to support or not. They won't know - they will be more confused and upset than anything.
I would suggest staying AWAY from the circus that you will make it.
Send flowers and cards if you TRULY want to support the family. Families don't see much at funerals-it is a blur.
Don't make this a circus people.
Bad idea...nice thought yes...but bad idea.
Send flowers or cards.
I'm afraid that you're wrong. Statements from other families in these situations would seem to support me.
StarCMC SPEAKS FOR ME.
Anyone who would stick their head in the sand on this issue should be mindful of getting it stepped on.
God Bless you Star.

Beautiful indeed. Needed a hanky alert though! ;o)
Wonderful report. My only complaint, is another newspaper article that is not aware that they are being read by people who don't have a clue where they are located. I'm thinking Oregon, and it is obviously MI which I only knew from reading your report. How many towns in America are named Lansing? Same thing with radio stations. No station ought to be able to say its call letters unless it announces the city and state where it is located.
Portland threw me.
