The DNC/Media Cabal. Nary a mention in the media.
This is just a matter of failed personal responsibility.
...almost planned. :o)
Agreed. Makes me think of all the devastation caused over the years by tornadoes which in many instances wipe out sections of or whole communities. Their loss is no less than those suffered by hurricane Katrina yet I don't remember them moaning and bitching that no one is giving them handout because of their race.
Fricking ignorant ba*tards just can't accept the fact that mother nature is color blind and it's because the "victimhood" mentality is allowed to perpetuate.
Put a stop to all aid and let everyone fend for themselves, period!!!
If you haven't seen this 'hearing' and can find it on c-Span, I would encourage you to watch for as long as your stomach can take it. It's quite instructive.
I beg to differ.
An entire coastal area covering 3 states and a city under sea level flooded. My area went became inundated with Floyd because of the rains and then, stayed covered with water for three weeks because if the dam in Raleigh hadn't been released from its overload it would have burst.
I would like to respond to the educational issue. A relative is working with FEMA 5 miles out of NO. The team is staying in what he thought was an abandoned prison.
He was horrified to find out it was a fully functioning public school.
Of course. Some of the witnesses also had mental problems, to put it mildly.
It was exploitation of the weak, the infirm and mentally unstable by the Democrats who asked them to testify. I was horrified watching the hearing on C-SPAN
Do you know the name of that school?
Just keep speaking out, Clock. We need to hear your voice.
I forgot about any more donations to the cause when they figured out a way to blame Bush!
Re: "Not all Black people are whiney..." Of course, you are correct. This is a PR disaster engineered by white media types like Anderson Cooper (whom I used to like) as well as assorted Democratic pols and activist groups.
If 'these people' had started walking North over 150 years ago (because they were free to) they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now.
But then if the prospect of freedom couldn't make them start walking N why would a category 5 'cane do it.
Odd how to good people of Mississippi have NOT cried about racism when their coast was devasted even worse than NO. I was part of a relief effort down there. MOst of the people who came to help were whites from the south. And the community that we were helping (because they were hit the hardest) was the black community. So much for racism... especially of the southerners...
The dredging was done as part of a joint-venture between the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board, the Orleans Levee District, and the East Jefferson Levee District with Corps permission.
At this point, I am torn between wanting NO to be rebuilt and it's people return or leaving the French Quarter and immediate area around it existing and just build a causeway to it for tourists.
The Louisiana youths and Houston youths are duking it out at the schools in Houston just about every week. Don't know if it is happening in other areas but someone needs to get a handle on it.
No, but I could find out. Want me to?
bump for later
If you don't mind. I'm just curious.
