Aw, that's very sweet--but the real star of the show is Laura Bush. How lovely and charming she is. I got a kick out of the C-Span segment myself. That, and the Secret Service got in on the act too! Great stuff! I'm still laughing!

For all the 110% these people put in on their jobs, you wouldn't allow them any comic relief in their lives?! It probably took each one of the speakers about one shot to do their 30 sec. lines.... gimme a break. There's gotta be one in every crowd.

Get into the spirit of the season. Otherwise, if you're going to be a turd, go lay in the yard.

The other thing I was thinking is..... IF the production had been any "slicker" or more obvious that a WHOLE buncha time had been put in editing the thing, it truly would have been a waste of valuable time, but this was just "bad" enough to be really funny and cute, and appropriate to show my kids who will love this stuff.
Where's the REAL harm, I ask?

The production values in this are just cheesy enough to end the music on an unresolved Dom7th chord! ;-) Wish they would have taken the time to put in the music credits (although I recognized the source for most everything played ;-)!!!

Still living dialup hell, I guess I'll never get to see it. Darn!

Still living dialup hell, I guess I'll never get to see it. Darn! You could visit you local library, FedEx Kinkos or friend's home. Maybe a friend could copy the windows media player file to a CD for you. Just some ideas.

It is related somewhere that Robert Schumann was not very good about getting up in the morning. They'd wake him and he'd go back to sleep. Clara Schumann solved the problem by banging an unresolved 7th on the piano. Schumann couldn't stand it. He had to get up, come downstairs and resolve the chord, and by then he was awake.

I've been told Laura Bush is that lovely and charming in person. My b/f is a PSP trooper and was assigned to be her escort when she visited Somerset County shortly after 9/11. He said she could not be more gracious or kind, and she treats everyone she encounters that way.
At the end of the day she asked if she could have her pic taken with him and she then sent a copy to him with a very nice note written on it. It is one of his most prized possesions.
