No kidding!!! Cabrerra is a nice player who seemed to have the spark to come through in the clutch. Going after Renterria was a huge mistake.

"Going after Renterria was a huge mistake."
Did not understand that move at the time - still don't.
Edgar seemed out-of-shape from the git-go, moody and just plain lost at shortstop - almost like he had never played the position before, kind-of creepy.
Cabrera signed for less with Angels (but same four years contract) and had a good year.
Up-beat and sparky, too - would love to see him back.

"No kidding!!! Cabrerra is a nice player who seemed to have the spark to come through in the clutch. Going after Renterria was a huge mistake." Cabrerra wanted too long of a contract, same reason they won't sign Damon.
