Good for you oxcart, I was thinking of posting this myself.
QUESTION TO ALL FREEPERS: Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I could get purple ink? I went to a craft store Tuesday night (A.C. Moore) and they didn't have anything like that. An ink pad, but it came right off when washed. I'd like a nice even coat so using a marker is the last choice. Maybe a Staples?

Go to a Staples/Business Depot type of place and buy a bottle of ink.
I bought Parker brand 'Quink' in blue/black, and it works great.

AC Moore has Staz-On ink pads in their sale flyer this week. "Royal purple" is in the ad. The ink is permanent. A purple sharpie or other permanent marker, or purple artist oil color from the art supply section will also work.

You might try food coloring. I got some on me tonight making Christmas goodies and can't get the stuff off, lol.
I does not come in purple but the package does come with red and blue, just mix it.
