Maybe the homeowner couldn't find a dove holding an olive branch with all the twinkling lights or maybe the words Peace on Earth wouldn't fit on his garage door.

To me, saying the display was "ruined" because of the use of the peace symbol without knowing the homeowner's mindset, given the time of year, is being very narrowminded and quite unfair.

I could see if it was the middle of June and there was an illuminated peace symbol on someone's home, but at Christmas?

Sorry but those folks have made my life miserable. Perhaps it was the leftist who spit on my son before he spent Christmas in Afghanistan that was a total turnoff for me. Who knows. I can tell you that it was a total repulsion as soon as I saw the symbol.
