OTTAWA (CP) Prime Minister Paul Martin will venture into violence-plagued Toronto Thursday and announce a sweeping ban on handguns, Canadian Press reports.
Martin is scheduled to visit Toronto's troubled Jane-Finch area to make a "safer communities announcement."
Liberal sources have confirmed the announcement includes a ban on handguns.

Gun-grabbers, like liberal democrats (usually, they are one-in-the-same), ALWAYS follow the same old, tired, big-government, nanny-state, freedom-robbing playbook, with themselves being exempt of any and all restrictions, of course.
If not already a member, join the NRA, GOA, or any other pro-gun, pro-freedom, pro-AMERICA organization TO-DAY, so we can avoid this BULLSH*T here.
nor the shift from Dominion law to Sharia law.
That one didn't go through!!
:-)
Sometimes women 'feel'..they don't think.
Someone needs to educate Canadian women....explain that a gun is the only effective defense against a crack head, a rapist, a murderer....a Moose....jeez. Maybe this analogy would work:
A gun is like a fire extinguisher....sure hope you never need it...but when you do need it...there is no acceptable substitute... mace, "please", nor a baseball bat will suffice. Sometimes a lead dispenser is the only tool for the job at hand.
Heh heh. YET!
If I know libs, they'll come back and back and back.
If there's one thing Libs are good at, it's corruption of the law.
Sorry...I don't think I could tolerate the liberalism up there for very long. I can't stand it in PA....and my perception is that Canada is worse!!!! They'd probably ship me off to a government re-education camp in no time. ;-)!!!!!
I'm going to email my local morning talk radio host and give him a heads up on this.
He had the gun folk on when the provincial gov't targeted them as a reaction to Toronto's problem.
Hopefully he can get them on.
They are the most articulate counter-argument.

Here's one for the Liberals if you want to send them a "I've always voted Liberal but..." comment.

Oopsi:
You would love it here and we would to have you.
Should be:
You would love it here and we would love to have you.
They are not interested. They are more interested in putting thought criminals behind bars than the real ones.
Surprisingly enough, it was the Ontario Liberal government that put a stop to Sharia.
Now there is no Christian, Jewish, or any other kind of religious arbitration allowed in Ontario family law.
Well, we could always volunteer to hold their guns for them. That way should they ever NEED them, they wouldn't have far to go to retrieve them.
Thanks for the links.
That's a mighty tempting offer. I suspect I would love it there......
One more tax increase in PA, one more underhanded dirty deal from the legislature...and that will probably be the last straw.
Leave the porch light on!!!!
They will be better served if the liberals just turn over the government to ren and stimpie.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Extactly why I never returned to Pa from Fl.
NO state taxes on income, no vehicle inspections, no unions to strangle you out of a job, and homestead exemptions for property tax.
I struggled there. - Here, I became wealthy. Period.
Not directly (well, you *CAN* host images directly from your hard drive...it is just a bad idea).
A better way is to get a free account on Photobucket or Webshots (and there are others as well) and hosting there the images that you want to post. If you later want to stop linking the picture anywhere you posted it, you can just delete it from your host (webshots, photobucket, etc) account.
You can also host your image on Imageshack, which requires no signup (though, the free signup has benefits) - you just upload your image and it gives you a web address where it can be accessed. If you only have a few images to post, this is the easiest way to do it.
Thanks for the link. Interesting commentary there.
THANKS!!! I appreciate the info......
