I remember that storm. We lived quite aways out with no close neighbors. Friends did visit after several days on a snow machine to make sure we didn't need anything.
When they finally got to our road they started with a snowplow, gave us and brought in a dozer, gave up again and cleared 1/4 mile of road one scope at a time with a front end loader.
Above freezing in Anchorage and above zero in Fairbanks. Might be a mild winter after all.
