Channel 7, Fox affiliate, reports that some a sources alleges that federal marshal fired on passenger after passenser threatened to detonate explosives
I'd like to know if the words "allah akbar" were heard on this plane.
WIOD 610 Miami just broke into Rush's show to report that a passenger got up and claimed to have a bomb. He reached into a bag and then the shots were fired. Conflicting reports as to whether anybody was hit.

What, when, where, who, how, are long gone. All that's
left is "why", and that is established prior to events.
I think the TSA might want to reconsider that lifting of the ban on assorted sharp/possibly dangerous items.
Current report on the radio is claiming that the passenger was claiming to have a bomb...wasn't acting normally...and was killed. I will confirm with a news source once I find one.

Now other stories are saying a passenger was indeed wounded, but not killed.
OK...now there's a reason other than storming the cockpit!

If true, sounds like suicide by cop. Or the TSA folks were asleep at the screener again.
Unless he intended on hyjacking the plan, there is no reason for a suicide bomber to announce his intentions.
Chances are this was a nut.
I wonder how many flights have air marshalls now a days?
