I don't get your point. Do you think they should have blown up more bags, or not blown up some of the bags belonging to the travel party of a guy who claims to have a bomb in his luggage?
Alright, so what happened? I jumped to the back of the book to find out and nothing:')
Don't go running down the aisle yelling that you have a bomb, and your souvenirs from Auschwitz should be OK.
Quick summary - Apparent nutcase on plane starts yelling that he has a bomb in is backpack while the plane is at the jetway prior to departure. Air marshal on board tries to intervene, nutcase runs down the single aisle of the 757. Nutcase reaches jetway, air marshal orders him to drop, nutcase reaches in packpack, air marshall drops him. Nutcase's wife claims he is nuts, not a terrorist. Since no bomb was in the backpack, apparently his other luggage was also taken to a safe location and detonated.
Discussion is following the usual pattern. The usual posters are blaming the screeners for not finding a bomb which wasn't there, blaming the air marshal for not diagnosing the guy as a nutcase and ignoring his claims, blowing up luggage of person claiming to have a bomb, etc.
So pick a side and join in.
When I just logged on I saw a headline stating "Air Marshal Kills Passenger"
You would think they could at least put the word BOMB in the headline. Idiots

Sorry....w/so little facts, one could have interpreted it that there had been 3 possible persons w/criminal intent, not one. As it turned out, however, I understand that all the bags belonged to the dead man. At the time, it was not clear. That is what I meant.

The media is so pathetic and so obviously trying to sway every story against the good guys it seems.
If he was reaching in his bag and had really had a bomb, being stopped would be the only thing that would have kept a lot of people from dieing. Sad about him, but crazy people can kill.
Now I understand. I thought you were intimating that goodlooking guys couldn't be crazy or murderers. Ted Bundy also comes to mind in the good looks department, but I sure as hell wouldn't want him to stop by for dinner.......... :-D

You need to get your facts straight BEFORE you post an apologetic statement.
FACT: The man was screaming "I have a bomb"
FACT: When asked to stop, he ran and started reaching into his bag.
FACT: He was shot. GOOD!! Maybe the next nutcase will think twice before doing such a stupid thing!! I bet if YOU were on that plane, you would have probably hugged the Air Marshall. I know I would have!!
