Target celebrates the United Nations "Human Rights Day" on Dec. 10. LOL. I didn't realize you could use United Nations and human rights in the same sentence. IMHO, disgusting.

I just called my local Sears and spoke with a manager. She confirmed. I said GREAT, I can shop there again. Her response ---- MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Everyone needs to call your local newspaper and get them to do a story about this. Not just about Sears, but about this battle. During Christmas, if retailers want our business, they need to stop insulting us by refusing to acknowledge what season it is when they say Seasons Greetings.

My Wife loves her Sears card. She would have been heartbroken to know they hadn't acknowledged Christmas. I think she was too busy spending money to notice at the time.

Welcome New FReeper!

This whole "taking Christmas" out of stores and public discourse is a direct result of the myth of "separation of church and state." We've gone from the GOVERNMENT not being allowed to portray any religious message to PRIVATE ENTERPRISE being under pressure to refrain from Christian symbols and words..even though the stores MAKE MONEY on Christmas celebration.
Freedom of RELIIOUS speech is the ONLY kind of speech under attack!

Watch out for the Sears Citi-bank Visa.....I got ripped off on that card and frankly would not go into Sears if they were giving away Gold. Merry Christmas my butt!

Well considering I've heard Seasons Greetings and seen it on multiple stores for years, I've never taken it as an insult. I always saw it as deference to offending my Jewish brethren. Some people need to quit worrying about what words are said and more about how the words are said as the true exhibition of the spirit of Christmas. If we're going to do it the 'old way' should we boycott stores until they change Christmas Day to Jan 6th too?

Just told Sears that I would come back as a customer, now that they have put Christmas back in their stores.

Just noticed the hurried scotch-taping of the Merry Christmas signs at Sears. LOL

They are "taped" to all entry doors and simply state "Merry Christmas" in black ink on plain white paper (looks like a corporate fax went out and they ran copies for all the doors on the copy machine)

They have a tiny bar code on the bottom left and a tiny note indicating *Merry Christmas messege* on the bottom right.

Gives the impression that they took time at corporate to "approve" this one and only controversial messege. LOL

ANYONE ELSE SEE THEM YET???
