My biggest concern is that the "guest worker" program NOT BE A CONVERTABLE VISA!

All visa's are convertible, one way or another.

no they are not all convertable.

The visa "waiver" program for specific countris has a NON-convertable visa. (clearly stated on the I-94w)

Many use HARDSHIP applications to bypass the noncovertablity of visas.
