It said in the article that even Breyer, who I consider to be a real looney-left dope, said that what colleges need is MORE free speech (i.e., allowing military recruiters along with all other recruiters on campus), not less. Good point: the universities all scream about their "free speech" rights which seem to take the form of denying everyone else's free speech.
Maybe, we are looking at the beginnings of an exposure of the loony left so that all people can know what they are about.

This is absolutely right -- the problem here is people who are too afraid to actually debate their ideas in the open.
The way to attack this policy is not to ban military recuiters on campus. The right way to push the argument is to allow them on campus, interview with them, let them offer you a job, and THEN tell them that you're gay. That way they'll know how stupid this policy is -- and that makes it cost more in terms of staff time.
