"It seems that your new leadership, especially Publisher Jeff Johnson, is entirely out of touch with your readers and their desire to be exposed to views that stretch them beyond their own paradigms..."

"So although the number of contributors to your Op-Ed pages may have increased, in firing Scheer and hiring columnists such as Jonah Goldberg, the gamut of voices has undeniably been diluted."

BS is right on, the LA TIMES is out of touch and has been for a long time.
I do hope that the Times listens to Babs and moves even more to the left. Then the only people reading it will be BS and her two friends

A set up that could spark a hundred punch lines.

views that stretch them beyond their own paradigms...

columnists such as Jonah Goldberg

Babs clearly doesn't see the irony here: she's the one that doesn't want to stretch beyond her own paradigm. If she had any real interest in paradigm-stretching, she'd read Goldberg's column religiously, just to see what the other side thinks. Instead, she cancels her subscription.

She may have a point about the LA Times - they can't even print her letter correctly

They published

So although the number of contributors to your Op-Ed pages may have increased, in firing Scheer and hiring columnists such as Jonah Goldberg, the gamut of voices has undeniably been diluted.
When she was objecting to them "firing Robert Sheer"

What's this? A Jew protesting another Jew? What has the world come to?
