The only thing that Viet Nam and Iraq have in common at this point is that Iraq will be won and Viet Nam was being won . . .

. . . until the dumbocrats undermined the victory in Viet Nam that is.

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN IN IRAQ!

Implore your representatives to back the most important military mission of our time.

Democrats started the war in Viet Nam and it took a GOP president (Nixon) to get us to the brink of victory. But the dumbocrat Congress undermined his strategies and abilities to finish the war.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE for a pubbie president with a pubbie controlled congress to flub this one. The senators and representatives need to grow spines and attack, attack, attack the dumbocrats.

Call them out for what they are - political opportunists!

P.S.

And how hard could it be to put the dumbocrats in their places? They say such stupid, contradictory and incoherent cr*p that it should be easy to minimize and humiliate them for the Nevelle Chamberlain wannabes that they are.

John Kerry - pleeeeeease! That's easy pickin's. Make him the poster boy for dumbocrat idiocy and political opportunism.

Exactly. We need to continually tie Howie and Hillary together as one entity. We need the Republican leaders (and not just the radio talk show hosts) to step up and repeat the following phrase every day and at every opportunity.

"The Howard Dean/Hillary Democrats."

It's not just up to the President. The Republicans should be out there speaking up at any opportunity. Do you hear them because I sure don't. They have left the President and he cannot do it alone.

I agree to a certain extent, but the Republicans are in a mess because they are without leadership and Bush is their ultimate leader. They've gladly ridden his coat tails for the last four years and should know that a fractured party will only result in disaster for the party.

Bush should be working overtime with the Senators and Representatives he trusts to strategize and reign in the negativity and lies the MSM is spreading. Remember the Clinton's "war room" and their rapid response team? Hell, it was effective and they were defending the indefensible!!!

The Bush administration should implement something similar to help stop the daily unanswered tidal waves of lies and negativity. Using the bully pulpit to demand media accountability when lies are repeated ad nauseam is a great place to start, but first his communications department needs overhauling. He can start by replacing Scott McClellan, whom the press corp treats with intolerable disrespect.

Ultimately it is up to the President to get his party in line and behind him. Sometimes I think he is oblivious to how bad the situation has deteriorated and he needs to wake up before it's too late. Paging Karl Rove..... Help!!!

Thank you for raising children who are willing to sacrifice all for those who refuse to appreciate what they're doing. I'm humbled to here on Free Republic with you, and the many thousands like you. Thank you!
