Dang, that is not good news.
This is a guy who needs to be booted from his position in the university, at minimum.

OK, who here considers acquittal on 8 of 17 charges 'BEING CLEARED"????
I consider it a prelude to a re-trial. Now mind you, innocent until proven guilty of course, but the headline on this piece is amateur. I could do better. Lets do a campaign against the Herald on this - anyone in the know about the paper's bias or anything?

But the jury could not complete the job. One juror complained Tuesday that holdouts were being intimidated as the panel sought unanimity on the remaining charges. ''I am sorry to say at this time I can no longer deliberate under the conditions you put forth,'' the unidentified juror said in a note to U.S. District Judge James S. Moody Jr., one day after Moody urged the jury to seek agreement on all charges. ``Being that I am in the minority, I feel I am being whipped to change and I am not alone . . .. My nerves and my conscience are being whipped into submission.''

And this is why the ACLU and the democrats in the Senate want the terrorist to be tried in US federal courts. They will be free to kill Americans once again.
It is my humble opinion that they should be moved in with the members of the ACLU and democrat senators so the rest of us can sleep easy.

I heard a young Moslem woman on a radio show defending him (a few months ago) with this defense: Jihad is a First Amendment right. That jury agrees.

1. Racketeering
2. Conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization
3. Conspiracy to fund terrorists
4. Mail fraud
5. Money laundering
6. Obtaining US citizenship by fraud
