This thread is turning out to be pretty funny. Those cookies sound pretty good. Before I switched to vegetable shortening, I used half lard and half butter for my pie crusts and cookies. May I suggest that the Danish do the same? Hehehe, those picky Muslims will never know ;-)

I just went to B.T. the Danish newspaper online. Funny how the Danes are caving and trying to come up with new names for the cookies. They caved several years ago on "Negerkager" which was slightly racist, however "jødekager" is not racist in any way. The apologists are working hard to please the Muslims. A bad move in my opinion.
Alhumdoolillah, and Salaam, infidel crusaders, but that trade name is already taken by my company which makes snacks for suicide bombers. Continue using it, and my attorney, Clark Clifford will take you downtown and leave you without car fare.
