Streaming video of Wakefield's November 17, 2005 presentation on the possible connection between MMR vaccine and autism. Don't know how long it will be available.
Bump for later.
Junk science at its worst. Many children will die as a result of this irresponsible propaganda.
From "Let's end the sham debate about MMR right here" The Guardian, Dec 1, 2005
Did you view it?
Hardly junk science. It amazes me the people who don't want government telling them what to do, takin' it hook line and sinker about vaccines and their children.
Children seldom die from Mumps, Measles or Rubella if proper care is taken upon exposure.
And children seldom died from these benign childhood diseases before vaccines. The death rate was miniscule immediately prior to the introduction of these vaccines (thanks to improved hygiene and water). The rate of autoimmune disorders was also miniscule prior to the development of vaccines (Hmmm, wonder if there's any connection).
Check your lot # in VAERS database....
There was talk of the government taking the database away...
I know. The so-called trade off is a week, maybe two, or keeping the child at home to recover while allowing his/her natural immune system to take over. Of course, this requires proper diet as prevention and during the illness, but they is a great lack of understanding in that arena. Immunizations are the "quick fix".
Uh, do you think maybe, just maybe, Big Pharm Companies and their lobbies in D.C. had anything to do with it?
Seems overwhelmingly obvious to me it's genetic; problem is people don't have anyone to sue or to blame (besides themselves or God) if it's genetic.
Really? And on what to do base that statement?
Nobody is recommending that children do not have these innoculations -- only that they be given separately and spaced far enough apart so that the child's immune system has a chance to recover between shots.
After all before the late 1960s, the children did not have these vaccines at all, and most of them survived.
Interesting. Neither my wife or I is convinced of the Thermasol/Autism link. However, she's convinced her Auto Immune problems are. Many of the mothers of other Autistic kids we know also have Auto Immune issues.
So you're saying there were fewer instances of Multiple Sclerosis before vaccines?
Agreed. I wouldn't stop research on exogenous factors but I would look to how they relate to genetics.
