Muslims boast that they laid the foundations for modern mathematics and two of its main branches, geometry and trigonometry.
Lies, lies and more d****** lies

The Muslim contribution was merely to collect and combine the work done by the Egyptians, Greeks, Indians, Persians and Romans. The Indian civilisation gave us the concept of zero and modern numbers. Brahmagupta, an Indian mathematician, (598 – 665 AD) can be accredited with the initial work on algebra and negative numbers. The trigonometry terms sine and cosine have there origin in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India .

"Arabic" numerals are really "Indian" numerals -- they came up with the decimal and also (I think, need to verify) the binary system.

That's right, Cronos. The Arabic numeral system was taken by the Arab traders from India to West Asia and subsequently to Spain (which was ruled by the Moors). The concept of zero was also developed by the ancient Indians before the Arabs "borrowed" it.

The Arabs' main contribution to the civilized world has been Islam. We are still suffering the consequences to this day!!

Check this:

The Arabs claim they have written the first computer algorithm (Al-Khwarizmi). They even call the guy grandfather of computer science. (*eyes rolling)
