Message to the Troops

Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, likened the war in Iraq to Vietnam yesterday and said, ''The idea that the United States is going to win the war in Iraq is just plain wrong," comments that drew immediate fire from Republicans. Alerts In an interview with WOAI-AM in San Antonio, Dean criticized what he called President Bush's ''permanent commitment to a failed strategy" while saying, ''We need to be out of there and take the targets off our troops' back." Dean suggested ''a strategic redeployment" of US troops over the next two years. ''I wish the president had paid more attention to the history of Iraq before we had gotten in there," Dean said. ''The idea that we're going to win this war is just plain wrong." Ken Mehlman, Dean's Republican counterpart, said Dean's ''outrageous prediction sends the wrong message to our troops, the enemy, and the Iraqi people just 10 days before historic elections."

Howard Dean has sent a message to our troops that we cannot win this war which makes me very angry. Although, there are those against this war, we as conservatives must look to the examples like those found in the Bible.

We will find that God uses the few to do mighty things for Him. Gideon's 300 men defeated the huge army of Midian. David slew Goliath when the rest of the army including King Saul were cowering in fear. Daniel and his 3 friends stood alone and faced a lion's den and a fiery furnace respectively being miraculously delivered by God.

Most importantly, at this time when some of us still celebrate CHRISTMAS, the Heavenly Father sent His Son as a baby to be the Savior of the world. All this to say, though the forces are arrayed against us, the few can overcome. Righteousness will prevail! Goodness and Love will conquer! Wisdom will defeat it's adversaries.

So for the soldiers, as well as for us conservatives here at home, take heart, evil will lose. It has been said as the night gets darker, the light gets brighter. May we stand as light against the forces of wrong realizing their time is short.

Here are some verses that give me comfort. "...If God be for us, who can stand against us" Rom. 8:31b--IF WE ARE ON GOD'S SIDE, NO ONE CAN DEFEAT US "There many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless, the counsel of the LORD that shall stand. Prov. 19:21--THINGS WILL GO THE WAY GOD HAS PLANNED NOT THE WAY THE DNC OR AL-QAEDA. "There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel that can stand against the LORD" Prov. 21:30--THE ENEMIES OF GOD CANNOT SUCCEED AGAINST ONE WHO IS INFINITE IN KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, AND WISDOM, WHOSE PLAN CANNOT BE THWARTED.

Thanks to the internet, talk radio, the bloggers and 24 hour cable news, our brave troops can hear everything that Kerry, Dean, Murtha and the rest of the traitorous left are saying about them. This is not 1971 when Hanoi John Kerry could slander our brave warriors and get away with it with impunity. The democrats will pay a heavy price for their words.

I hate how people like Howard "The Scream" Dean think that they speak for our troops. Words like these

"We need to be out of there and take the targets off our troops' back."

make it seem like our troops are a bunch of pussies (pardon me, but I am tired of being polite). Our military is NOT made up of a bunch of draftees who were forced to carry a gun and are now forced to sit in a foreign land while the MIGHTY INSURGENTS take pot shots at will. Our military is strong. They know what the mission is. They know that it is not over and are willing to stay until the job is done. They all deserve better than this and I hope that all of these horrible statements come back to bite Dean, Murtha, Kerry, etc. square in the ass.
