Martha Murtha is a real hero of the lefties. To the rest of us, he is an old loser.

Looks like the Dems are going for the *Emotional Rescue card.

Kerry can't help,
as his face is all screwed up after Bowtox injections.

Democrats......sobbing their way to 2008.

Howard Dean shows democrats how he would pull U.S.Troops out of Iraq

Oh, let's just play, "STOP THE TAPE!" and see what we can do here:

Saying the "idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong"

And the article leads off with the best lie of all, but the fun doesn't stop here, Folks!

Dean made his comments in an interview on WOAI Radio in San Antonio.

Snowman says he's surprised that he made these remarks in Texas and got out alive. Need I remind all, that Texas also bred Molly Ivins, LBJ, and Ma Richards. Just as military service is no guarantee of intellect (as many big-name FReepers have gone out of their way to say of me), residence in any particular state is no guarantee of love of country.

"I've seen this before in my life. This is the same situation we had in Vietnam.

A situation of your party's manufacture, Howie...

"Bring the 80,000 National Guard and Reserve troops home immediately. They don't belong in a conflict like this anyway.

As a state governor, you had the Vermont Guard at your command. Who better at nation-building, and handling civil disorder, than National Guard formations, Howie? Especially after all that great experience we got with all those Bosnia and Kosovo rotations, there's some hands-on training for ya...

We ought to have a redeployment to Afghanistan of 20,000 troops, we don't have enough troops to do the job there and its a place where we are welcome.

UTTER BRILLIANCE! Let's only deploy troops to where people LIKE US! Where the enemy ain't, and won't shoot back! And what job aren't we doing in Afhganistan, Howie, where are you getting your intel...

And we need a force in the Middle East, not in Iraq but in a friendly neighboring country to fight (terrorist leader Musab) Zarkawi, who came to Iraq after this invasion.

And open-source reporting shows he was a guest of Saddam all the way back before the combat ops...

We've got to get the target off the backs of American troops.

You mean, that "Kick Me" sign you people keep hanging on us?"

Dean didn't specify which country the US forces would deploy to, but he said he would like to see the entire process completed within two years.

Just because I speak French, enjoy French cooking and French kissing, doesn't mean I want to be DEPLOYED there...

President Bush got rid of Saddam Hussein and that was a great thing, but that could have been done in a very different way.

We tried it your way, Howie, and he hung around for twelve more years. No sale.

80% of Iraqis want us to leave, and it's their country.

Funny you should say that: 60% of Americans want YOU to leave, and it's OUR country.

Dean also compared the controversy over pre-war intelligence to the Watergate scandal which brought down Richard Nixon's presidency in 1974... "What we see today is very much like what was going in Watergate"

DINGDINGDING!!!The Winnah! Everything these people do is predicated on a comparison to Watergate - trying to keep in the minds of The Sheep the thought of IMPEACHMENT. The event that defined the Democrat Party and the media for all time. Trying to impeach a wartime president - since they know they don't dare stage an armed insurrection, and they can't get their policies rammed down our throats in the polling places.

I won't even enumerate all the lies in the rest of this... speech.

Defeatists are nothing new. Here's Howard Dean's father back during WW2.

My goodness what a stupid statement. The fact is the Americans and the coalition won the war. They beat the hell out of the fifth largest army in the world and in record time.

Unless I am missing something the coalition is now building up the nation's political, court, economic and security to make Iraq a strong country. Yes there are terrorists, bandits and insurgents that need to be dealt with and that is coming along just fine with the new Iraqi army coming on board.

"I've seen this before in my life. This is the same situation we had in Vietnam.

What, you mean like when we fought a long war and never lost a major battle, but where the weak-willed defeatists (from your party) at home snatched defeat from the hands of victory?

Just like you are proposing now?

HEY STUPID! I love you, man. You're a bigger laughingstock than Terry McAwful ever was, and you are publicly rooting for the other side to win.

Yeah, that's a sure way to "stand up for the troops...", Cindy Sheehan style.

How about we do this the President's way. Stick around until the 72,000,000 Iraquis who want democracy get to make it happen, and the 5-10,000 insurgents are all pretty dead. Then, unlike in Vietnam, our veterans will come home knowing that their sacrifice was NOT IN VAIN.
