They have been so wonderful to us. They can defend us better than we can ourselves, so I really appreciate what they are doing. May we be there for them when they need us.
So they're against the anti-defamation.... uhhh... yeah.
Mason was on O'Reilly on Friday. He was great! Poor Bill could hardly get a word in. LOL!
'Mason with his trademark accent...'
Accent? what accent?
Oh, and have a Merry Christmas!
Jackie Mason fan here, but I'm a little confused on the name of his group.
LOL. Go Jackie!
But you know what? He hooked me! He's very quick on his feet, very knowledgable and very clever.
I remember one caller in particular, who was a conservative Jew, and who was criticizing Jackie Mason for not being energetic enough as a booster of Israel. The caller based part of his argument on his understanding of the Talmud.
Mr. Mason refused to be drawn in on this point. He answered the caller's other points one by one, and when he came to the Talmudic part he said something like this: "As far as the religious argument goes, there's nothing I can say to you. Your position is based on faith, and faith cannot be argued. No argument based on faith can be supported or refuted by any information we have available to us, so G-d bless you and I respect you for your position, but it doesn't make any sense for me to discuss it with you."
Was Jackie Mason ever on the Ed Sullivan show? I seem to remember some wonderful Jewish comics from those old days, incl. Molly Picon.
WOW...I have always loved Jackie's comedy...funny funny guy
But his JWR columns aint too shabby either...
And now this...I really appreciate guys like Jackie standing
up for Christians...
A very commonsensical Jewish secretary at my office reliably plops a little lighted Christmas tree on a file cabinet in her vicinity every year. Mention to her that this seems a little odd given she's Jewish, she says "Oh that's ridiculous. They're pretty!" Case closed. Given that she's Jewish, and that it IS pretty, nobody has ever been able to formulate an objection to her reasoning.
I am actually moved by this. I can not remember anyone ever standing up for me for anything. Being a middle class working caucasion man, I am the roots of all that is evil in the world.
I am truly honored. It is going to be a Merry Christmas.
Good, he gets it. Most Christians I know are big supporters of Israel and have a great deal of respect for the Jewish faith.
ping
Jackie's a good guy.
He's got our back, we got his.
I love hearing of organizations like this that show a growing unity between Christians and Jews. Theological differences aside, we have a bond and we're stronger as a unit than apart.
Dottie Burman, a friend of mine who is a cabaret entertainer in New York, has a funny song that I think needs to become the newest Chistmas standard. It's called "Let's Have A PC Holiday (Where Everything's Politically-Correct)." Lyrics are here (BTW, the final word is done by the chorus, in place of the word "Amen"): http://www.dottieburman.com/pcholiday.htm
Dennis Prager and Michael Medved also stand up for Christmas.
