Israel has various ABM defenses to counter either Iran, Syria or another threat from the Islamic world.

The new Israeli "Arrow System" will stop missiles from Syria, Iran & other enemies

Sure there may be various ABM defenses, but these defenses will not work if a Palestinian/islamic team smuggles a nuke through a tunnel into one of two major Israeli cities or a fishing boat drops off a team to plant a nuke in Tel Aviv.

Missiles can be detected and hopefully destroyed after launch, however, nukes can be placed in various modes of transportation to their ultimate destination, be it Israel or here.
