I haven't see Mondull since he was leading cheers at the Wellstone funeral/pep rally....now THAT was disturbing politics for the majority of US voters!

He remembers the way it used to be:

Democrats in control of Congress, Republicans the minority.

Both parties like the arrangement at the time.

Retired after 50 years in public life

I love that..."retired." No mention of the fact that he tried to UN-retire himself back into the Senate three years ago, but got his old butt whipped by Norm Coleman. I suppose that if no one wants you back into office, you're pretty much "retired" by default.

Curiously, mondale sounds far more moderate than most of his own party.

Remember Eleanor Mondale, Walter's daughter? There were reports that she was friendly with Clinton.

Apparently, Eleanor was diagnosed with brain cancer last June.

"Walter Mondale, the man who transformed the vice presidency from a ceremonial job to a position of power..."

Position of power? Is it imaginable how history will remember the second fiddle to the most unfit man to ever occupy the presidency of the United States? Vice President of failure?

Who? Mondale? I vaguely remember that name.

Isn't he French?

Good morning, Sir Pissy.
