But you must try and understand the depth of feeling that many of us (Tonk, myself) have towards Kerry. There are over 58,000 names on a Black Granite Wall in Washington D.C. John Kerry told the mothers and fathers of those soldiers that their sons were rapists...murderers...in short...the worst scum on the planet. After doing so (or maybe while doing so) he openly (and while a serving Officer) collaborated with the very people killing American Sons and Fathers.
While many here wouldn't even think of allowing Benedict Arnold to serve in the government.....they have no problem with someone on the same level to serve as a Senator.
You, and others on FR, may feel that we are just ranting and raving but you better understand one thing.
Without us, the Vietnam Vet, the Republican in the White House now ....would not have been elected.
Perhaps it took Kerry running to finally wake us up...but we're NOT going back to sleep.
Things need to me put right....and perhaps the starting point of it will be when the Republican Party understands that we will not be silent on the traitor to our Nation now serving as a Senator from Mass.

I understand your feeling to the extent anyone is capable not being there.
My father is a Vietnam Vet.
And I particpated in exposing Kerry last year and was one of the Swiftee's biggest supporters when some people said we shouldn't pursue it on this board.
But you, and that poster, must understand I do not appreciate being dragged into a dispute anyone has with other posters on this board about their conduct re: kerry. It wasn't until I was pinged to be used as an example that I had a problem.
I do not appreciate being drawn into fights others have with posters. I don't draw people into my battles, I expect the same courtesy. Mainly because I cannot possibly know the history and dynamics that led to those arguments making it impossible to take sides.
My ONLY interest in THIS thread is a matter I do have understanding on. John Kerry's comments. And on that I am active in getting them heard by the public and repudiated at higher level.
You're a better man than me.
