Kerry is a freaking waste of carbon and oxygen. He shot people in the back in Vietnam and today he stabs them in the back. Unfreakingbelievable.

"I’ve long since forgotten the name of the speaker, but I’ll never forget what he said. ‘Imagine this. In the spring of 1945, around the world, the sight of a twelve-man squad of teenage boys, armed and in uniform, brought terror to people’s hearts. Whether it was a Red Army squad in Berlin, Leipzig, or Warsaw, or a German squad in Holland, or a Japanese squad in Manila, Seoul, or Beijing, that squad meant rape, pillage, looting, wanton destruction, sensless killing. But there was one exception: a squad of Gis, a sight that brought the biggest smiles you ever saw to people’s lips, and joy to their hearts.’ " - Stephen H. Ambrose, The Victors, 1998.

"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional as to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation." - George Washington.

"Pacifists would do well to study the Siegfried and Maginot Lines, remembering that these defenses were forced; that Troy fell; that the walls of Hadrian succumbed; that the Great Wall of China was futile; and that, by the same token, the mighty seas which are alleged to defend us can also be circumvented by a resolute and ingenious opponent. In war, the only sure defense is offense, and the efficiency of offense depends on the warlike souls of those conducting it." - General George S. Patton, Jr., War As I Knew It. 1947.

The really amazing thing is that, after saying, "there is no reason ... that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night;" Kerry IN ANSWERING THE VERY NEXT QUESTION asserts that we need to "go after hard intelligence" and "chase down Zarqawi".
SCHIEFFER: Well, you're not saying we should stop fighting these insurgents?

Sen. KERRY: Absolutely not. In fact, in my plan, I have said very specifically that we need to keep Special Forces capacity. We need to have the ability to go after hard intelligence. We need to chase down Zarqawi. But we do not need 160,000 troops running around the country as a whole, exposing themselves as they are, feeding the notion of occupation. Let me just emphasize this.

Well, Senator, HOW do we "chase down Zarqawi"? How did we do it with Saddam? Gee, we conducted thousands of raids going into the "homes of Iraqis in the dead of night," Dumbass. The "hard intelligence" we gathered doing that is what led us to Saddam!

Notice that Schieffer displays far more smarts than Senator Kerry. He apparently recognizes that these midnight raids are a key and irreplaceable element of the anti-insurgent effort, so when Kerry says "there is no reason" for the raids, Schieffer immediately follows up by asking if Kerry is saying "we should stop fighting these insurgents."

Can Kerry really be stupid enough to not understand the importance of these raids? Or does he understand and is still willing to deligitimize them? Either possibility is frightening in a sitting U.S. Senator.

What amazes me is that Massachussetes is the birthplace of American Liberty. That the citizens of the state that gave us the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre etc. could have become so communist to elect a self confessed traitor " I traveled to Paris and met with representatives of North Viet Nam and the Viet Cong". They also continue to elect the killer of Mary Jo Kopechne.

Now I live in California, but it has always elected a lot of communists, but they took over this state many years ago, and California could never be considered the birthplace of American Freedom.

And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not... ...Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all of the talk of 210,000 people trained, there just is no excuse for not transferring more of that authority.

Was this guy as bad a debater in Yale? Or is just that much of a twit?

I caught this thread at post #2 as I was walking out the door to work.

Kerry is a real piece of horsesh!t.

There better be folks in both houses on the hill calling him on the carpet for this one. I would also like to know what the executive branch thinks of this.

We need to get the Clinton impeachment crew back together to look into the actions of "Mr." Kerry. They are indeed treasonous and are lending support to our enimies.

Tonk, this has been picked up by the American Thinker website. There's no such thing as a former traitor:

Kerry reveals his intellectual depth

Senator Kerry has accused American Soldiers of terrorism. And then he suggested that Iraqis do it instead! Seriously. From December 4, 2005, CBS Face The Nation:

"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the-of-the historical customs, religious customs.  Whether you like it or not… Iraqis should be doing that."
