Monday December 05, 2005--Forty-eight percent (48%) of American adults approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's the President's highest rating since October 8.
The President earns Approval from 80% of Republicans, 20% of Democrats, and 41% of those not affiliated with either major party. Fifty percent (50%) of men approve of the President's job performance along with 46% of women.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of Americans Disapprove of the President's performance.
Today, 27% of Americans Strongly Approve of the President's performance while 37% Strongly Disapprove. Early in the year, those figures were close to even. A couple of months ago, the number who Strongly Disapproved was twice the number who Strongly Approved.

I think that's part of it, but I also believe that people are finally noticing, in spite of all the caterwauling in the media to the opposite, that gasoline prices have come down significantly and that the economy is actually in pretty good shape.

Exactly! Things are beginning to turn around thanks to the economy improving and Bush's offensive on Iraq.
