Renaissance choral

I'm a HUGH early music fan. Most of my Christmas music is either a cappela Gregorian chant, Medieval, Renaissance, or Baroque. I also like Celtic and sorta folky/New Age-y instrumental Christmas music. Of course, every now and then I like listening to a little of "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree", or "Santa Claus is Back in Town". I guess you could call that eclectic. ;o)

LOL! Yep. I'd call that eclectic.

That's how we raised our kids. Played a little bit of everything, and they learned to like it all...........plus some stuff I don't care for one single bit. :)

Our daughter in England is getting a weekly diet of beautiful early music........Tallis, Byrd, Gibbons..........and she's loving it. She also likes a particular song by a group called "Disturbed".........because it has nifty mixed meter. Now THAT's variety!

Have you heard the group called Celtic Woman? They are phenomenal! Actually, they're doing a fundraiser with them tonight on PBS, but you can buy their DVD and CD on Amazon for about an eighth of the price. You should listen to them! (Especially Danny Boy and Orinoco Flow).
