Joe Wilson: Bush Right to Attack Iraq
NewsMax.com ^ | Dec. 4, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Joe Wilson, Iraq war supporter?

The darling of the anti-war left may be working overtime to bring down the Bush administration for "outing" his CIA wife, but Wilson said Saturday that the White House was right to go to war over Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

"There was a lot of reason to be concerned about weapons of mass destruction in the hands of Saddam Hussein," he told WABC Radio's Mark Simone. "I always thought that he probably had chemical and biological weapons and biological precursors as well."

Wilson said his primary policy difference with President Bush wasn't over Saddam's WMDs, but rather on the question of "how to construct a policy that gets to the national security issue of disarming Saddam Hussein and does so at minimum risk to other legitimate U.S. interests both in Iraq and in the region."

But aside from that, Wilson said he cheered President Bush's decision to topple the Iraqi dictator, telling Simone: "When the president went up to the U.N. and got the [war] resolution unanimously passed at the U.N., nobody applauded louder than I did."

Joe must be getting nervous about the Niger memo investigation being restarted.

He was initially against the war because he feared massive US casualties from chemical weapons. He's a flip flop traitor!

So like kerry, wilson was for the war before he was against the war.

Now he's for the war, but not the way the war is being prosecuted?

If I remember correctly, Clarke was for the war before he was against the war too.

A little bit of literary daydreaming.

LOL! What's this, the notes to a new Harlequin Romance? These two got in over their heads and are about to find out what the word treason means. Could be they won't be seeing the twins for a while.

It was just for fun....No deep thinking on Sunday!!

I still have a curiousity that sticks in my head.

Did Jacqueline and Valerie know each other? Were they even perhaps, good friends? It's not unusual for men to marry "her best friend". Why has Jacqueline remained overseas?

Joe and Valerie stayed at the Watergate before they were married. How many folks on the Watergate staff knew Valerie Plame? Who attended Joe and Valerie's wedding? Who took care of Joe's divorce and attached assets? (wolf)? Why did someone write that Valerie had to change some assets when she was outed?

HRC: Absolutely!! Joe has been ordered to get on the right page (or else)....which is in agreement with Hillary's vote. Hillary will likely be appearing with Timmee Russert very shortly.

That was also the perspective of Chirac and de Villepin - with whom Joe probably chatted on a regular basis. His previous wife was involved with French diplomacy or intelligence in some way, I forget the details.

Can someone tell me when Powell ever went to the U.N. and got a "war resolution passed"?

The U.N. said "no". What the hell is he talking about?

Oh I see. This is obviously a misrepresentation on Newsmax's part. It says: "...got the [war] resolution unanimously passed..."

It obviously was a different toothless threat Wilson was refering to. "[war] resolution?" This is some shabby reportage if you ask me. I wouldn't take any of it seriously if an "error" like that is in it.

"Simone had asked Wilson how he could have gone to work for John Kerry, when Kerry had been one of the biggest proponents of the WMD threat."

It could also be noted that after Kerry took him under his wing, he saw him for what he was. Meaning, he was too dangerous of a loose wheel to be associated with,

WILSON!
