Are they not a group to protect civil liberties of the American society?
Although this is supposed to be the reason for their existence, they have morphed into a socialist organization that is determined to eradicate Christianity, IMO.

Their founder was devout communist. He set them up with the priciples of undermining the the Constitution from within.
