Blaine got skills. Even though the centerpiece of his street magic tends to be his levitation, which is really just a simple
Balducci levitation with some extra theatrics (vomiting, in at least one case), his real strength is in his card tricks.

As an amatuer magician I feel that David Blaine has a lot of "street magic" talent, but when it comes to levitation, one must look at choreography, presentation, illusion, misdirection, all of which contribute to the "magic" that is experienced. In my opinion, David Copperfield's
Flying Illusion is still unsurpassed, and is unbeleivable to experience live in person in the audience.
