"You know this keeps coming up, and I still don't get it. As a Christian, I'm not offended by "holiday" or "season" in the least? When did conservatives get as thin skinned as liberals? This is lovely, now we have two camps of perpetually offended reactionaries."

Its about defending the spiritual roots of this Country. They demand we take down crosses on public land, 10 commandments from courthouses, prayer from schools, "In God we Trust" from money, (the list is long but you get the point). Its about trying to preserve our Christian heritage and traditions, if we do nothing, they will be taken away.

You know there comes a time to pick you battles. I can grasp fighting a group or organization who's out to remove crosses from public land. I can see politically fighing to keep In God We Trust on money. However, getting offended because someone wishes you Happy Holidays is just petty. Plain and simple.

Last I checked, "Christmas" wasn't about gross overconsumption & greed. Yet, here we are, demanding that the very purveyors of that idea at least wish us a "Merry Christmas" while they subvert it's true meaning.

Makes sense to me.......

You need Target to help preserve YOUR religious heritage?

I don't. Shopping is not an exercise of religious faith for me.
