The Liars Of The Anti-War Movement (Melanie Morgan: We Do Question The Left's Patriotism Alert)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 12/02/05 | Melanie Morgan

For the past two years, the old-line media has been more than willing to help broadcast the allegations made by the anti-war crowd that "Bush lied, soldiers died."

However, no matter how many times the likes of Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan have made this allegation, they've never been able to make it stick.

The only thing they've proven thus far is that they hold a twisted hatred of this country and feel consumed with resentment toward America's economic, military and political superiority.

It turns out that it's not George Bush or Dick Cheney who has been lying to the American people, but the very anti-war/anti-military folks who have been pointing fingers at the administration all along.

The record of deception by the anti-war crowd reached a new low this week when we learned that MoveOn.org was broadcasting an anti-military ad that purported to show U.S. troops in Iraq who, the ad said, should be pulled out of Iraq straight away.

A sharp-eyed American soldier brought it to the country's attention that the soldiers in the ad weren't American – they were British. MoveOn.org can't be blamed, of course, because they wouldn't recognize or appreciate an American military uniform if you paid them.

MoveOn then turned to deception to hide their mistake by graphically altering the uniforms that the soldiers were wearing.

Lies, lies and more lies.

Maybe Michael Moore was in charge of the editing standards for MoveOn.org, because this is the same type of stunt Moore pulled when producing his anti-war propaganda flick, "Fahrenheit 9-11."

In that propaganda piece, Moore declared that President Bush had stolen the election, and that newspaper accounts backed up his outrageous charge.

The film showed a headline "Latest Florida recount shows Gore won Election" taken from a Bloomington, Ill., newspaper dated Dec. 19, 2001. This outrageous story was entirely made up by Michael Moore.

Shockingly, there never was such a story in the newspaper. Instead, there was a similar letter to the editor written by a private citizen two weeks prior. Moore took that letter, and mocked it up into a fake news story. He changed the date and the font sizes and appearance and tried to pass it off as a legitimate news story.

And this week Moore flatly denied he ever owned stock in defense contractor Halliburton – who he has made the boogey man in the Iraq war. Tax receipts show that Moore isn't telling the truth about that either.

Lies, lies and more lies, along with a dash of hypocrisy for good measure.

Anti-war politicians have joined in the game of deception recently.

Congressman John Murtha became a celebrity to anti-war groups recently when he called for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

TV analysts breathlessly reported the "stunning" development that a once-"hawkish" representative had turned on the war effort.

The anti-American message board DemocratUnderground was loaded with endless threads of discussion proclaiming the newfound bravery of Congressman Murtha.

No surprise here – Murtha was merely pulling a dishonest political stunt, and he used the willing accomplices of the old-line media and anti-war crowd to pull it off.

Fact is, 18 months earlier, Murtha stood shoulder-to-shoulder with one of the most shamefully dishonest members of Congress, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, and declared that we should cut and run from Iraq.

And this wasn't the first time Murtha had advocated cut-and-run.

Pay attention here, because you won't see this fact reported in any major newspaper or alphabet soup network: He gave the exact same advice to President Clinton after American troops were attacked and slaughtered by Al Qaida-backed terrorists in Somalia in 1993.

When Clinton followed Murtha's advice, it is reported to have emboldened Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, who have both said the incident showed that Americans lacked the will to fight for what they believed in.

But there stood an anguished Congressman Murtha under the hot klieg lights, with tears in his eyes, pretending he had come to some newfound opposition to the Iraq war.

Lies, lies and more lies and cowardice in the face of America's enemies to boot.

Is it any wonder then, that some of us do indeed question the patriotism of the anti-war crowd?

While the heroic men and women of the United States military are enduring hellish conditions in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting Islamo-fascists intent upon murdering them, they're being undermined here at home by shameful, guilt-ridden, spineless folks in the anti-war crowd who will tell any lie to justify their reprehensible conduct.

The next time someone on the Left attacks you, or your neighbor, or a friend for questioning their patriotism – calmly look them in the eye and answer back.

Yes, we certainly do question your patriotism.

Yeah really. If Murtha was around at beginning of the American Revolution, in the midst of Gen. Washington's reverses, he'd urge a speedy surrender to the British. Thank God we didn't have him around then.

Can't question that which does not exist.

My standard reply to anyone who has said this line of BS to me:

"Question your patriotism? No. I haven't seen you show any examples of patriotism. When you grow either the guts or balls or brains to show some, then I might question it."

LOL! As if you think the Left cares about the facts. You can recite to them facts and statistics all day long til you're blue in the face and they won't change their minds. Look, President Bush has tried to reason with them. He's laid out the picture and offered a strategy for victory. They still refuse concede what is obvious to every one else. And in the meantime, they continue to sow doubts about the justice of country's cause and to belittle and demean the sacrifices of our troops. When pressed, they won't take a stand on principle. Does that look like the face of an honorable opponent? You be the judge.

Exactly! I can't have respect for someone who refuses to act in accordance with his beliefs and tries to have it both ways. When it comes to the War, the Democrats are a Janus-faced party.

Countering with facts has been a dismal failure IMO. The left has only become emboldened and ever increasingly frenetic over the past two years. They have been helpful to the enemy.

The conscious manufacturers of the lies have crossed the line to treason and they need to be called on it. Our troops and iraqi civilians are being killed for this nonsense. The time for milquetoasting is over.

The bottomline is they are traitors and liars.

Most of the people I come into contact with are not radical left, just misinformed Americans who love their country. These people when given facts can usually be brought around. I don't waste my time on radical lefties unless there is someone there who needs to hear the truth.

This thread is'nt really addressing the average leftie who is ignorant of the facts and has been spoon fed the lies. We're talking about the professional manufacturers and the spreaders. The elephant is in the room and it can no longer be ignored.

T-BOMBS away I say!

I'm not arguing that fact. I happen to agree. My point is that that is what they want you to talk about. Why do you think as soon as some one begins to engage them in debate they start saying "Don't question my patriotism". That's the argument they want. It is totally off point and irrelevant as to whether this nation is right on going to war in Iraq. We should never play their game. Keep the debate on the subject that really matters. Victory.

The war undermining industry needs to be stopped. They are getting our people killed. That is more important than civil politics at the moment.

I don't think we will be seeing very many members of Congress or the MSM thrown in jail for treason any time soon. I will continue working to keep average Americans supporting the troops and exposing the lies of the Left. We stand a better chance of making them irrelevant than we do fighting the free speech/treason debate and having them charged with treason.

They need to be stigmatized for what they are. thats all. To date they had no consequence for their irresponsible actions.

I agree and if it didn't sidetrack the debate over victory so much I would probably be more on board.

That is my big question. What evidence is there of their patriotism that we can question?

No no NO! You can not question their patriotism! As they constantly point out to us, they are just "Patriotic In Their Own Way".

Patriotism can take many forms. Hoping your enemy wins is simply "another way of being patriotic".

Hoping for huge numbers of our soldiers to die, and for our country to suffer a grievous loss so that one's own political party will gain advantage over the other party is just "being patriotic in their own way".

Loudly jeering and denigrating our troops, except for when they're pretending to be nice to them just long enough to call for them to murder their officers - is just "being patriotic in their own way".

Doing things to encourage the enemy, to aid and abet them to help them with their task of killing our troops. is just "being patriotic in their own way". Can't you guys understand this concept?

OK, that's all for today's lesson. Please come back for next week's lesson, entitled, "Why Day is Night and Black is White and Good is Evil".

This is the same thing I have been hearing from Military people in all branches. When these kinds of things are said by politicians and the traitorous "peace" advocates, the terrorists are emboldened to kill more of our troops.

These people are evil and must be countered at every turn.

An excellent article by Melanie Morgan.

When you hate liberalism as much as I do, you start looking for its achilles heel, the better to fight it. Well, it's not what and where you thought.

Liberalism exists by taking advantage of the government's subversion of the currency. That is, liberalism can suck blood/money out of our government, only because the government is sucking blood/money out of the economy.

When government arranges for fake money to be put in circulation, liberals then divert it to their own political ends, and spend some of it to ensure the process continues.

If we end fiat currency and return to a commodity-based, stable dollar, then liberalism will have insufficient money and wither.

Unfortunately, many conservatives are milking the government for fake fiat dollars, as are liberals. Only when we commit ourselves to end the fiat-money madness, and return to a sound currency, can we again have a constitution-based, honorable, non-inflation-inducing government.

We must do everything possible to return to a balanced budget, and resist the urgings of fake conservatives to continue deficit spending, for the purpose of stimulating the economy. Interest rates should rise, a lot, to the point where the Fed basically is not lending anything to anybody.
