Automated phone call from an old lady blaming Republican Congressman for her gas bill (vanity)

Today I received a phone call in which an old lady, or someone pretending to be an old lady, claimed that she about fell over when she opened her heating bill. After raving about how she was being gouged, she revealed the real culprit: Congressman Ron Lewis (R-KY). Yes, he caused her to have a high gas bill.

Just wondering if anyone else got the same or similar call in regard to one of their Congresscritters?

I am out here in southern California and haven't used my natural gas heater yet. November's bill was less than twenty dollars so I am not suffering.

One way to offset the higher cost is to buy stock in the natural gas companies or those who provide it. Use the profits to pay your bills.

Yep. I got that one in Colorado. It was pathetic. I loved the part about how Republicans were more concerned with blocking investigations than doing something about her heating bill. I started laughing then so I missed the rest of it.

The pathetic part was they wanted me to call Marilyn Musgrove...and she is NOT my Congressman. Did you catch the name of the organization paying it?

I didn't catch a paying organization - I don't recall even hearing that.

Have received several automated calls recently regarding our Indiana 9th District congressman taking money from the big oil companies. Dims are going all out to take back this seat from Rep. Mike Sodrel. Baron Hill lost this seat, which had been held by the Dims since 1960 last fall. Dims want it back. Going to be a real fight to keep it in the Republican column but think it can be done.
