That's great. And I support everyone who decides to move where ever they want.
I just can't abide people who sponge off L.A. and gripe, gripe, gripe. L.A. seems to be the one place in the U.S. that every true blooded American loves to hate.

Sponge off L.A.? So that's what you call it when people tell the truth about what's taking place in the southland. I'm sorry, but I think you lost a wheel a few miles back.

Haha! Espeically those who have lived to the south of LA. ;)
You can have it. Orange County, San Diego County, San Louis Obispo, Monterey... yes, much nicer. ;)
Nothing like living in what should be paradise and putting up with smog and traffic jams like no other. Not that traffic is peachy in Orange or San Diego, though. But it's still way better than LA.

I understand how much you like your home town with all its warts, I love my city and it has warts aplenty, along with museums, fabulous shops and the best restaurants you can imagine.
As far as hating LA, I think maybe it is the LA/Hollywood connection that makes LA seems so dysfunctional. I don't hate LA, I haven't been there in over 50 years and I really don't remember it, but I have a strong dislike for anything Hollywood.
