My mother died in 1997--age 82. I was devastated, even though I had known it would happen soon. It was years before I fully recovered from the impact.
Always remember that your mother would want you to go on with your life, and be happy.
You and your family and friends will be in my prayers.
God knows why, with chilling touch,
Death gathers those we love so much.
And what now seems so strange and dim,
Will all be clear when we know Him.
Prayers for you and your mother. God bless.
God bless her. God bless you.
My heart felt condolences. The death of a parent is one of the most painful experiences we can have.
My Father died 45 years ago, My mother 30 years ago. Not a day goes by I dont think of them.
God Bless.
#60 is misdirected.
The tears are because we miss them already, I think, even if we know they're in heaven. They tell us not to cry, but surely they know better.
"No more to sigh, no more to weep,
The dead who die in Jesus sleep.
Unfading let their mem'rys bloom,
While rest their bodies in the tomb.
The Lord will not their love distrust,
Nor strow their garlands o'er their dust.
Though in the grave their clay is cold,
They have not left the Christian fold.
Still, we are bearers of their joy
Companions of their blest employ.
And thee in them oh Lord, Most High!
And them in thee we magnify.
An Angel sings that they are blest,
Yea! saith the spirit sweet their rest.
In bowers of paradise they meet,
Secure beneath their Saviors feet.
Nor fear the trump that soon shall all
Before the throne of judgement call."
Prayers are being offered for you and your family. My deepest condolences. No matter how old we get, it is still a strange state to be a mother-less child.
Heartfelt condolences and prayers for you and your family.
What a wonderful life well lived!
Eternal rest grant unto her and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Prayers for you and your family. Just know that your mother is better able now to look out for her loved ones than she was on earth. And she will continue to do so. You will feel her presence when you need it. That is one of the gifts of the Lord to comfort us.
God Bless you and your loving mother. What strong convictions she had about her faith!! Thank you for your kind comments about those on this site.
I'm so sorry.
Thank you for your post. You are right we should cry... until God wipes away every tear form our eyes... death shall be no more, neither crying or pain for the old order has passed away. Until then we mourn and Jesus understands.
What a beautiful tribute to your mother, and what a beautiful legacy, and example, she leaves for her loved ones. God bless you all.
My prayers and condolences for you, your mother and your whole family. She sounds like a remarkable woman and I have a feeling she accomplished her goal, of heaven. God Bless.
Sorry, my error.
