The suburbs used to hate to be robbed, but the influx of immigrants and the migration from 416 to 905 has changed that dramatically. There is no real "center" in Ontario; you have the hinterlands which are almost as right-wing as Alberta, then you have the very liberal urban core areas, especially Toronto which is one of the most liberal cities in North America.
Perhaps the immigrants could be made to understand that THEY are getting robbed also. I am well aware that there is not much of a middle in Ontario.
