Thanks for the compliment.
(although you'd probably be way better off with perennial 'good cop' Fanfan)
Let's take positive media support any way we can get it.
With most of the journalistic vermin, Stephen's always going to be damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
As example, the Toronto-based usual suspects who called him stupid, insensitive, playing to the extreme religious right, etc, for brining up same-sex 'marriage' on day one of the campaign, are the same left-wing morons who would have howled about his 'hidden agenda' if he hadn't!

No problem! If any/all of you ever want to FReep my office, you're all invited!
Same with Bush. He could have nominated Hillary to the Supreme court and the media would have been all over him for some stupid reason or another. I think if Harper is elected, there should be some legislation requiring all Layton supporters to move to Cuba to live and work there for a year or so. Haven't been hearing too much about him though....

the Toronto-based usual suspects who called him stupid, insensitive, playing to the extreme religious right, etc, for bringing up same-sex 'marriage' on day one of the campaign,Harper did a sit down interview on our local TV station yesterday.
The interveiwer, with a puzzled look on his face, asked him why he brought up same-sex marriage on the first day of the campaign.
Harper replied that the first question he received from the media was about the issue.
He continued, not arguing the merits of either side of the issue, only stating that the matter would be put to a free vote in the commons.
I thought he handled it pretty well.
