A little note for clarification: Trim-Rite is a pork-products supplier which is considering placing a large new slaughterhouse here in town. If you forward this column to others, you have my permission to change it to "Jimmy Dean Sausage" so people will get the joke.
If anyone wants on or off my monthly column ping list, please notify me here or by freepmail. These may become weekly columns in the future.

I'm waiting for someone to counter Planned Parenthood with "thank you for not aborting me" Mother's Day cards. Maybe someone already has.

"If an unmarried teen girl from a poor community is romantically involved with an older man and finds herself pregnant, what would Planned Parenthood advise her to do? What worth would they place on her offsprings life?"
Thank God Planned Parenthood wasn't able to get to Bethlehem.

Christmas cards from the NRA with the message Peace on Earth through the use of magnum hollow points? More like Peace on Earth through superior firepower!"

I can see it now: Mary didn't have a choice. Thanks to Planned Parenthood, YOU do.

Thank God Planned Parenthood wasn't able to get to Bethlehem. I think Joseph would have whacked them with a 2 X 4, and Mary would have cheered him on.

I think that we should all send PP Christmas cards with a picture of baby Jesus that states;
"Mary choose life so that salvation could come to the world"

I picture a card in my mind, where the Three Wise Men stand outside the manger as Mary explains that she decided that it just wasn't a good time to have a baby...

Indeed Mr. Silverback, indeed!!

Hmmm...Those would be cool cards, but a small market to sell to. The buyers would only be people whose Mom is so strongly pro-life that she would get a kick out of a pseudo-political message on Mother's Day.
It would make a great political cartoon, though.

Planned Parenthood making money off Xmas Cards?
What a paradox considering that Herod's "kill the babies" policy is so much closer to their beliefs than the Xmas miracle event.

Right.
It is an intriguing irony - the 16 year-old that people want to make sure doesn't have to inform her parents about having an abortion is the same "being" that, 16 (and some months) years ago the same advocates said didn't have a right to exist at all.
