Van Patten: New Dog Food Good Enough For People
POSTED: 9:49 am EST December 1, 2005
UPDATED: 10:12 am EST December 1, 2005
LOS ANGELES -- Actor Dick Van Patten is hawking a new dog food he says is good enough for people to eat. And he should know -- he's tried it.
The "Eight Is Enough" star recently sampled the "Irish stew" recipe at a media luncheon. His verdict: "Not too bad."
Van Patten is lending his name and likeness to the new dog food formula that claims to be indistinguishable from a home-cooked meal for humans.
"Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Eatables for Dogs" also comes in such flavors as spaghetti and meatballs, hobo chili and Chinese takeout.

I guess Rush is Right. A can opener for our elderly parents and grandparents for Christmas is a good gift!

I have tried Milk Bones. :) Taste like a Triscuit. Bland
Don't understand what a dog could possibly find exciting about them.
( had to stop eating them, I almost got hit by a car while laying in the street.)

What was not reported was after filming Van Patten proceeded around the room sniffing everyone's butt.

RESOLVED: There is a fine line between cheap canned tuna and cat food.
Discuss.

I've eaten dog food and it's not bad. Of course, that was back when I was 6 years old.

What line? There's no line between cheap canned tuna and cat food. Only the label differs.

My oldest daughter used to eat our dogs food when she was tiny so I got her the shock collar and put one of those invisible fences around his bowl. It worked, she stopped trying to eat it, but now whenever she gets a static electric shock in the house she starts barking.

That clown will do anything for a buck...a few weeks ago one of the local Injun Casinos had the "Dick Van Patten Celebrity Poker Tournament".
Wish I'd kept a list of the "celebrities" who participated...all well below B-List.

RESOLVED: There is a fine line between cheap canned tuna and cat food. Oh - there's a lot of difference. I've never opened a can of canned cat or dog food that didn't look, and smell, like it had already traveled through an animal.

Well, if it's people food, the "I never feed my dog people food" people won't feed it to Phydeaux anyway.
