Yes, but no. Lest we never forget that 'Facts are to liberals as light/holy water/garlic is to vampires'. They will never let facts get in the way of whatever stupid crusade they happen to be on at the time. They will revise these facts to something like the following that suits their moron brigade:

"Gun ownership is at a 30-year high, and gun crimes in Chicago (for example) are at a 100 year high"
