Oh, lord - my point was (I thought pretty clearly) that there's no such thing as a Hannukah pine tree tradition, or Thanksgiving, or Kwanzaa. A little thin-skinned, my friend. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you richly this season and always.
I believe we are seeing the early signs of a political angle that the GOP will use in the next election cycle: the attack on Christianity.
Since so many Jewish people have weighed in on our side already, let's not split the good peoples apart.
Thank you for your blessing. God be with you.
Frankly, if people want to decorate trees during this time of year, they can call it what ever they like.
There's nothing "Christian" about a tree.
But its naive to think the drive to call "Christmas" trees - "Holiday" trees is due to a desire for tolerance.
Its just another front in the culture war, with the ACLU secularists trying to drive anything related -no matter how remotely - to religion, especially Christianity out of the public square.
they see a manger scene and freak that somebody might consider not having an abortion! The prochoice sent out Christmas cards last year rejoicing in a prochoice year, something to that effect! These people are evil, what they offer is death. don't think for a moment the prochoice people like all that Christian symbol stuff.
