President Bush traveled from Arizona, where he had spoken last night at a fundraising dinner for Senator John Kyl, today to El Paso, Texas to observe the situation at the border, and confer with Texas Governor, Rick Perry, answering a few questions from the press. From there he flew to Denver, Colorado where he appeared at a fundraiser for U.S. Representative, Marilyn Musgrave.
The War in Iraq received strong support today from Senator Joe Lieberman following his fourth trip to Iraq, when he deliniated the across the board progress made in that country. Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld came out swinging at a Pentagon briefing in support of the increasing strength of the Iraqi army. Tomorrow President Bush will give a major speech on Iraq at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Welcome to Sanity Island and your Daily Dose!!!
LOVE the first photo!
[What I would have given to trade places with Marilyn Musgrave for the time it took the President to engage in the 'kissing sequence' . . . Where are the fans; I need the fans!!]

[The following is an AWESOME website that I somehow missed during last year's campaign . . . Given (the largely ignored) Mary Mape's book, this website and its testimonies/informational tidbits are still VERY relevant today!]
THE MISSION OF WINGMEN FOR BUSH:
This web site is dedicated to telling the true story of President George W. Bush's military career from the perspective of the airmen who served with him during his USAF training and in the Air National Guard.
WingmenForBush.com reveals the President's honorable military career. Here, the President's Wingmen share their memories of then-Lt. Bush, and also outline the top ten distortions used by political sources to impugn the President's military record and sets the record straight, with the truth from those who were there. The commanders who trained President Bush, his classmates of pilot training class 70-04, and the National Guard pilots who flew with him affirm the Presidents honorable military service. They stand shoulder to shoulder as his Wingmen.

TWO DOWN, ONE TO GO?
By Kevin Patrick at 10:28 PM
The now infamous cover story of The Economist's cover story on March 20, 2004, was headed: "One down, three to go?" The accompanying editorial lamented that following the party defeat of Jose Maria Anza in Spain, there was "now a real possibility" that George Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard "could follow Mr Aznar's party into defeat", due to the unpopularity of the Iraq commitment in Western nations.
Well, as we all know, those three leaders (among others) were re-elected (I am assuming due to the popularity of the Iraq commitment in those same Western nations, no?) while those in opposition to the Iraq liberation have not experienced similar successes to Bush, Blair and Howard.
Paul Martin's government in Canada has been toppled. Gerhard Schroeder was ousted in Germany. Is our dear friend Jacques Chirac in France next?
So in the election count we have Bush supporter victories 9, Bush supporter losses 1, and Bush opposition losses 2 (and counting).
While, some people might argue we still have Vladamir Putin to count in these ballots, I actually would argue that he gets a "pass." Recall, the brilliant remark from one of the Bush Administration's brightest lights, Condoleeza Rice : "punish France, ignore Germany, forgive Russia."
So Putin gets a pass from me, I'll substitute Martin for him, Schroeder is out, and France? Well, we're coming . . .

This time of year brings out the kid in me, however, if you ask my wife, she still thinks I'm a kid...
Who wants to give me ideas for Christmas presents for my family? They're all libs so anything political is out.
Could have left out McLame....but I won't hold that against ya'!
Yep :)
I've seen two different promos, but they're basically the same.
A satellite zooms in on a man walking through the Mexican desert. Narrator: "A dead man will soon become the most wanted man alive." And the satellite zooms in on Jack!
Cut to a series of short actions scenes:
A man with long hair and a beard shooting at a crowd of people.
A violent car crash.
Jack shooting at somebody.
An explosion or two.
Then cut to Connie Britton (Jack's love interest this season). She's talking to him while she has her arms wrapped around her teenage son. They've both clearly been traumatized by something.
She says: "Frank, what's happening?"
Jack (deadly serious): "My name's not Frank. It's Jack Bauer."
Cut to Jack shielding Connie and her son from a LARGE explosion--the flames swallow them all ... and the screen goes black.
Narrator: "The non-stop 24 returns January 2006"
And the promo ends with this shot accompanied by the familiar cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching sound of the 24 clock.
Excited? :)
Thanks for pinging me DrDeb .. this is awesome!
It was my pleasure!
Awwwwww..thank you, Raster! You couldn't have given me a better Christmas present! ;o)
I just am now getting the Hugh Hewitt show...with Jeb Babbin substituting....and he made the comment that the democrats are getting really bad about revealing very classified information....
and the example he was talking about was Harry Reid saying that "for sure they KNOW that Bin Ladin was killed in the Pakistan earthquake",....apparently had been told in classified meeting...
Did you or anyone hear about this??
Thanks for the "extra Dose" ping!
One guy looks great ... the other guy looks pretty bad .. we don't normally get to see that side of his face. His surgery was more extensive than I thought.
Unfortunately, I may not be well enough to go, but I'm going to get my marching orders anyway, and I'll let you know what they are.
We NEED this man.
Good Evening......I LOVE the President's suit....for some reason it strikes me as one of his better fitting ones....
We got SNOW today!!! (Hey...it's western Washington, and snow not very "normal" for us).....it's sloppy wet, now.
OWF.....hope you're feeling much better by tomorrow! And, thanks for your efforts here while you're feeling punky.
Yeah..........xlinton was busy with his perversity (is that a word?)
Just shut your right eye. ;)
We could always use the big black "X" just like a professional "news" producer!
Wonder how long it took her to recover from that? ;)
