Yes well, there is no negotiating with these Jihadists, as we both know. I frimly believe that they need to be soundly trounced, stomped and CONQUERED, then we can "cut deals" but of course they should be UNIlateral deals, as in unconditional surrender.
The "War on Pan-Arabic Fascism" would best describe phase two of the WOT. Phase one, in Afghano-Pakistan, was the main part of the "War on Islamofascism" which is now a side-show to the War on Pan-Arabic Fascism.
For instance, we're not talking about burkhas and bearded mullahs so much anymore. And the left hasn't turned "anti-war" because they got tired of us killing religious fanatics. What the left is upset about is not war, but war against *socialists*!
The Baathists, as socialists, were supported by the Soviet Union along with the Nasserites and "Palestinians" and infused with an anti-American anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist ideology that mixed well with the remnants of National Socialists (Nazis) who had gathered in Damascus after WW2.
The western left has clearly recognized that cleaning up the stables of Baathism would be cleaning up a major bulwark of socialist anti-Americanism that might have the effect of rolling up socialism around the world.
It is no surprise that Chavez and Castro cannot stand seeing the Baathists treated so badly and out of power. It is no surprise that Ted Kennedy looks like he is going to have a stroke over all the bad news that an entire socialist anti-American strain can be rooted out of the world's major oil producing region (cutting off funds for socialists everywhere).
Think about it: With the fall of the Iranian regime and thus no oil revenue for anti-Americans except via Venezuela, George Bush can lock in, for conservatives worldwide, campaign financing for themselves and a denial of campaign funds for anti-American socialists worldwide.
The leftists understand that this has turned into a War on Leftists. It is the WOL instead of the WOT.
I consider the best way to win the war on Islamofascists is to get them to join us in defeating liberals...albeit without suicide bombs and other means of violence.
Is there anyone out there who has spoken with Iraqi detainees recently. Are they anti-capitalist punks or religious fanatics or both? It would be important to determine whom we are really fighting at this point.
The american traitor Cindy "end the occupation of New Orleans" Sheehan calls'em freedom fighters; since they now have a constitution, why not call the locals traitors, but also be sure to have their label recognize the outsiders flocking in, to wit:
the local murdering traitors and murdering illegal immigrants
