The thing that struck me about his campaign, above all else, was how much more competent the volunteers seemed to be, in contrast to the paid staff.

Either that, or the Lazio campaign was simply filled with chronic f-ups and we looked good by way of comparison.

Exactly! My husband and I - who volunteered for Rick as often as we could in NYC and in NY state (we live in northern CT) - thought the very same thing. See my post #32.

And let's not forget all that time wasted on Mc Caniac "campaign finance reform".

I agree with you, Lazio, although "moderate", would probably have made a decent Senator and not just in comparison with the two dweebs NY state gave us.
