Quid Pro Quo...
How is this the business of the Senate? Someone should hide this idiot's Depends so he has to leave the stage.
Personally, I think we'd all be better off if Specter spent the entire rest of his career investigating this matter in intricate detail, and holding periodic press conferences to keep us up to date.
Spector is an idiot who thinks he;s a god.
This is great!!! That means we must have finally won the War on Terror if Senators are only concerned now with the NFL.
Specter and TO have so much in common. They think the world of themselves and back stab their team mates at every opportunity.
"vindictive and inappropriate"
Hmm...Arlen, didn't you use those words at the bail hearing for Ira Einhorn, the Unicorn Killer? You know, the guy who stuffed his girlfriend in a trunk, and ran to France after you got him released?
Nice work.
Arlen always likes to stick his nose in the news. Typical Arlen PR tactic.
Great job Specter...I mean seriously we cant get confirmation proceedings for judges which would be YOUR JOB. But instead we have to launch an investigation because a spoiled rotten loser big mouth punk get sfired for being a problem.
Wow...Great leadership...solid priorities. Someone remind me why I vote GOP again please...
What a D---head. For the money they paid t.o. they should expect loyalty. Congress has a few more important matters to attend to.
Possibly. however I am getting more of a "Dumbass" vibe from Arlen's T.O. stance.
"Specter said at a news conference Monday in Harrisburg it was "vindictive and inappropriate" for the league and the Eagles to forbid the all-pro wide receiver from playing and to prevent other teams from talking to him."
The only thing that was 'vindictive and inappropriate' in this situation is Terrell Owens' behavior. Specter is meddling in things that are being handled appropriately by the team and the league and are none of his business. All that this will do is to bring T.O. back into the media limelight for another round of stupidity.
More proof that Specter is an idiot.
Obviously Specter doesn't have enough to do! Somebody may want to remind him that he has SCOTUS hearings coming up!
As a 49er Fan let me assure Specter that Owens IS an IDIOT and is perfectly capable of defending himself. He has worn out his welcome in football with his whining and self serving actions. It is offensive to think that the Congress feels a necessity to come to his defense!
I am sooo glad to know that one of my elected Senators (though I have never voted for him) is busily defending the 'rights' of overpaid, whiny atheletes.
