That Blair and Bush should have discussed bombing the Al-Jazeera building in Qatar is hardly surprising. They agreed to bomb the headquarters of Serbian television during the Kosovo war.

My namesake last I checked. *shrugs*
Kinda like Bush is responsible for the Enron fraud, and the failures of the CIA to catch Mohammad Atta etc.

Actually, it is not......the very next sentence following the "excerpt" (in the full article at the link) reads:
"Well, color us impressed. Who knew President Bush was already conducting foreign policy back in 1999, when he was still governor of Texas?"

I think he's refering to the original article.

So the Governor of Texas was bombing a foreign country? It's possible if you consider that the same governor of Texas duped then President Clinton into believing the Iraq wmd intellegence. It probably can be explained as another plot by the Masonic Zionist who faked the Twin Towers attack.

Don't mess with Texas. Or we just might bomb you. Or do other things you don't even want to know about. Just don't mess with us.

What bowl game is this? I'm rooting for Texas, of course. I didn't even know Yugoslavia had a football team, but we'll kick their @$$. You ain't seen ethnic cleansing till you see Texas clean their clocks.

Bush was the mastermind behind the My Lai massacre. And he slaughtered a bunch of Rwandans.

Considering that Serbian Radio and TV was a prime source of information for the enemy in the 1999 war, knocking it out was a legitimate act of war. Journalists somehow think they're immune from national conflicts. However, radio and TV stations are "dual-use" institutions, serving both a military and a civilian purpose. They are lawful targets in war.

They are lawful targets in war. It's not lawful anything without a formal declaration of war.

The NATO vote to authorize force was sufficient to start a de facto, if not de jure war, or in this case, "police action" as was the Korean War.

Except when you consider that NATO was in violation of her own charter since none of her member states had been attacked in any way.

Ah, but you forget that the U.N. Charter also allows for regional organizations to organize collective action to guarantee regional security! In international law, there's almost always a treaty or a precedent that allows a state or alliance to act.
Only a real idiot like Saddam Hussein starts a war on a flimsy pretext. Even Milosevic's ham-handed and unnecessary campaign in Kosovo had the legal cover of counter insurgency.
Here's the legal chain, as I can reconstruct it:
1. The fighting in Kosovo is spilling over into neighboring states, such as Albania.
2. Albania, though not a member of NATO, borders Greece and is across the Adriatic from Italy, which are NATO members. The flight of refugees into these states could be followed by the combatants performing acts of terror and retaliation against terror.
3. Therefore, to promote stability, if not happiness, the war in Kosovo must be stopped and a cease-fire imposed.
4. The UN Charter permits this action.
5. Bang.

Or do other things you don't even want to know about. Just so. And the greatest coup of all? "W"(with the able assistance of one Karl Rove AND three degrees of separation) was to place an, er, undercover operative in Bent Willie's White House. Don't mess with Texas? The dress is a mess!
