Leave the shovel, they will interpret it as planning a murder. Let the bears eat the ELF and WAR morons. Practice this line until you can deliver it like a pro: "Officer, he/she pointed something at me and after I read about them threatening to kill hunters, I thought it was a gun and I was afraid for my life. I would like to speak to my attorney now." Do not repeat, deviate, or elaborate no matter how many times they ask you.

Well I was just joking about the shovel.

Actually I spoke to the Ranger at the State Park near the watergap the other day and he told me that they plan on arresting anyone who enters the woods without a hunting license and appropriate hardware for participating.

He said that there is a clear law prohibiting the interruption of a legal hunt, and they plan to enforce it.

Also in New Jersey there is a state law which makes it clear that you can't enter public land for any purpose but hunting during the 'Big Game' firearms season. (I'm pretty sure I saw this spelled out in the docs somewhere as well)

I don't think it's going to be as serious a situation as everyone thinks. The vast majority of protesters are just cowards who believe they should be in charge of everyone else. They'll stick to the Check station and yell at me, to which I will respond by giggling.

Its hunting under a microscope. I've been told that there is a German TV crew looking to go out with a hunter to film the process. I just hope the media shows the protesters in all their condescending glory.
